MEMBER SPOTLIGHT
Honoring the inspiring stories of our valued members.

Ayse Oge
Joining the Los Angeles World Affairs Council and Town Hall decades ago was one of the most transformative decisions of my career. Encouraged by a hotel executive and long-time member, I stepped into a world where diplomacy met discourse, and global perspectives became personal insights. LAWAC provided me with unparalleled access to thought leaders—from heads of state, industry pioneers to scholars—whose non-partisan talks challenged, enriched, and broadened my worldview.
Through livestreams and in-person engagements, I gained fresh perspectives on international trade, sustainability, and cultural diplomacy. LAWAC didn’t just inform me—it inspired me. It served as a catalyst for my growth as a global business strategist, presenter, author, and advocate for collaborative solutions. The organization amplified my voice in international marketing, allowing me to speak at global summits and empower entrepreneurs across borders.
LAWAC reflects the spirit of Los Angeles: dynamic, diverse, and deeply connected to the pulse of the world. From nurturing tomorrow’s leaders through its youth programs to equipping local businesses with global foresight, it has become a treasured bridge between our city and the international stage.
A little about me: I’ve set foot on five continents—not just as a traveler, but as a learner, listener, and collaborator. Whether brainstorming trade strategies in Brazil, exploring innovation in Japan, or tasting the local flavors in Thailand, each journey added a layer to my understanding of humanity and global enterprise. I channel these experiences into SCORE workshops, guiding small business owners to market locally and export globally.
I’m deeply grateful for LAWAC’s role in shaping my global lens and my belief in inclusive leadership. I’m still learning, still connecting—and still telling stories that bring worlds closer together.
