The Los Angeles World Affairs Council High School Program offers high school students from public, charter, and magnet schools the opportunity to attend free quarterly events with a wide range of international leaders, political figures, and experts in business, science, and government.
Student programming ranges from students-only lunches and forums to private student briefings for high-profile speakers at regular LAWAC events. We partner with more than 50 high schools in the Los Angeles metropolitan area and engage several hundred students annually.
Our High School Program aims to provide students with a space to learn new perspectives on current affairs, ask questions of top speakers and panelists, and feel empowered to set high goals in their ongoing studies and career aspirations.
